Noun: a state of equilibrium or equipoise; equal distribution of weight, amount, etc.

How do you find balance within an unbalanced world?

How do you stay focused on being in balance in a chaotic seemingly unstructured world?

In today’s high speed, high pressure and the high-stress world, it’s not just balance between work and family that’s hard, it's the emotional, spiritual journey that can upset our equilibrium.

Some struggle with day-to-day living, trying to stay in balance in all the many different areas of our life.

We may find that some days balance comes perfectly in order for our mental mind but not our physical body, because there's always that see-saw effect going back and forth achieving balance in one area and not the other.

And then we tend to beat up on ourselves for not doing what we thought we needed to do, or that we should have done. And that word "should have" is sabotaging and destructive because we only know to do what we do in the moment we're doing it until we learn a new way.

So, finding balance in this world can be challenging unless we're willing to open ourselves up to new ways, new thought patterns, new focuses and beliefs about Who We Are and how we show up for ourselves and others.

When we finally realize that we have choices about, first of all how we think and then how we feel, as the feelings bring about the change then balance flows from our natural state of being.

If you wish to feel stable and balanced stop often throughout your day and focus on what you are doing and how you are feeling.

Sit quietly and experience yourself and your thoughts from a calmer level of awareness.

I find that setting some reminders throughout the day really helps me to get centered and aware.

I like to use the alarm reminders on my phone to gently ring a few times a day to remind me to stop and go within.

Balance is handling those things you deal with every day in a way that is peaceful and healthy to you and in a way that contributes to your growth and higher good.

True Balance comes from when we go within, deep within and begin to take accountability and responsibility for how we think and feel.
